Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where is AGA?
    • 215 Dominion Street, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Please park in the parking lot by the loading area behind Giant Tiger and follow the signs for AGA.
  • How do I register?
    • Via our Facebook page or website you will see “Current Member Registration” or “New Member Registration” google forms. Using our session calendar (found on our Facebook/website) you can be sure to register on time! Please fill out the appropriate form. If you have issues please contact us. ([email protected])
  • One of my children is a current member, can I register a family member/sibling (New member) on the Current Member form?
    • No. Please fill out a New Member Form
  • What should my child wear/bring to gymnastics?
    •  Nothing too loose/baggy (jeans/jean shorts/skirts/dresses/sports bras are not appropriate attire). Cleavage/bellies/bottoms must be covered. Hair must be tied/clipped out of face (no exceptions-please no bobby-pins). No jewelry of any kind.
    • A bottle of water will be beneficial too! AGA does have a refill station, but if you require a bottle we sell bottled water for $2.00. Please no snacks, juice, pop, etc.
  • My child has a wart, can they still come?
    • Yes, they can ! Please cover the wart with medical tape, or ask your child to wear a sock. If a coach notices an uncovered wart we will have to tape it.
  • Can I sit upstairs to watch?
    • If your child is attending a Parent/Tot or Preschool class- Yes!
    • If your child is attending any of our other programs- No, unfortunately our space is limited and we are not able to accommodate all.
    • If your child has a medical condition, please contact AGA and we will make note of the accommodation and allow one adult upstairs as support.
  • How do I know when my child should move up in programming?
    • For our Parent/Tot->Preschool->Beginner->Beginner 10-15, it is based on the age of your child, please use our Class Descriptions to determine when your child is aging out of a program.
    • Moving into an intermediate or advanced program will require an invitation from your child's coach based on attitude, motivation, and skill requirements.
